Impatient

On our vacation this summer we had a chance to see some petroglyphs along the Snake River near Asotin, WA. We are going to do some more studying about petroglyphs and figure out how to make our own mark on history. :)

Getting very impatient to get materials here so I can start the whole planning process. We are going to use Calvert School through Columbia Virtual Academy in Washington state. The program says for first grade level it takes about 3 1/2 hours a day which leaves plenty of time for supplemental stuff and for all of the fun learning that we want to do. We are also planning on swimming lessons and gymnastics at the local YMCA. Of course our homeschool meetup group has plenty of activities going on as well. While we are enjoying our summer I think we are both ready for fall and for school to start.

Getting started!

As we start out on our journey into our first year of homeschooling we are also going to start sharing what we are doing with friends and family. Aly and I hope you will check back with us often and see what we are doing and what we are learning.
